The board is crafted from natural wood and black epoxy resin. The irregular edges and distinctive grain of the timber remain visible, while the dark resin fills the spaces between the wooden sections and emphasizes their natural shapes.

Variations in grain, knots and texture are preserved as part of the design, giving every handcrafted board its own individual appearance.

Hand-Finished Surface

The wooden surface is carefully sanded and treated to highlight its natural texture. A protective finish creates a smooth surface and helps protect the board during regular use.

The contrast between pale wood and glossy black resin gives Black River a contemporary appearance while retaining the character of traditional woodworking.

50 cm Folding Board

The backgammon board measures 50 × 50 cm when opened and 50 × 25 cm when folded. Its folding construction makes the set convenient to store and helps protect the playing surface and pieces between games.
